The Bikini

As many of you know, before Hannah was born, we didn't find out whether we were having a boy or a girl. However, we both agreed that if we were to have a girl, that she wouldn't get earrings until she was old enough to know what they were and to take care of them, AND we wouldn't put her in a baby bikini! No if's and's or but's...those were our girl rules.

Then Jim's sister, Mary Irene, came to visit from Minnesota. She brought Hannah some really cute outfits. She also brought Hannah a BABY BIKINI!! Mary Irene is fairly conservative and so we were just shocked at the sight of it. But, since it was from her, we decided it would be OK! It's an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, flowery purple, very cute bikini!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

It has been a few weeks since I last updated our blog! What can I say, other than life has been so HECTIC with the end of the school year. Jim and I (and Hannah too!) are now officially on summer break, although Jim will be teaching summer school in June, so not as much of a break for him. Hannah and I will be busy hangin' out together, hitting the pool, maybe the mall too! Don't tell Jim! Anyway, I promise I will have a more exciting blog with more information soon. I need to upload some photos. For now, just enjoy these pics of Hannah crawling EVERYWHERE! Oh and one more thing....my sister is expecting a GIRL to balance out her life with her two darling, yet crazy, boys! Congrats Jasmyn and Joel...we love you and are so haaappppyyyy for you!

Easter and More!

The three of us on Hannah's first Easter! My birthday happened to fall on Easter and I can't tell you what a wonderful husband I have! He always makes me feel so special, important, wonderful! He brought flowers and a Cathy's Rum Cake (my favorite...guess I'll put off that diet for just one more week)! ha ha! I love you sweetie!!!

Hannah and mom...

My mom, Hannah's grandma...hangin' with her favorite granddaughter (OK only granddaughter for now). The bear she's holding was in the Easter basket my mom brought over for her...it sings and she loves it! Unfortunately, I hear and sing the tunes in my head all day!

So, a few days before Easter, my sister Jasmyn and I had this GREAT idea that we'd take a picture of the three grandkids and give it to our parents as a little Easter gift. We forgot to account for the fact that taking a picture of three small kids AT THE SAME TIME is virtually impossible! Kaden tried to smile...Gavin did too...just a little red eye issue...Hannah is completely confused and uncomfortable and about to let out a yelp

Let's try this again....Ok this time, Kaden is giving his "model" pose, Gavin thinks this whole thing is quiet humorous, Hannah still looks uncomfortable and is trying to get away. So, sorry mom, but neither of these were frame worthy!

So, I went home and tried to pose with just ONE child. I had Hannah in her swing and put a pink blanket behind her for the pose, added the bunny ears...and badda bing....

In the process made her very unhappy! So I tried again, and this time I put her in her Rainforest Jumperoo. Much better, got a smile, but her ears are a little deflated. Guess that's what I get for trying to take pictures with props!

And now...the moment my parents have been waiting for...I'm sitting up!! I'm sitting up for longer than 10 seconds at a stretch! Woo hoo! I'm 7 months old, I'm crawling, I'm eating baby food, AND I'm sitting up!

Six Months Old!

So tired! It's rough riding around in a stroller all day!

Hannah loves to be on her belly! She is doing the "army crawl" now and is almost sitting up on her own! Jim calls this onesie her "Wonder Bread" outfit because it looks like the package of a loaf of...you know...(it was one of the "unisex" outfits I got before she was born). I don't see the big deal; she was just wearing them as pj's!

Jim and I were wondering the other day how many times these sweet cheeks have been kissed...hundreds...thousands..

Hannah and I went to my school's annual "Tigerfest" this weekend. I caught her trying to get a bite of my burrito...
