Perfect Picture!

As I was getting Hannah ready for bed on Mother's Day evening, it occurred to me that we hadn't taken any pictures together. I really wanted to get a picture of the two of us. So I threw her dress back on, ran downstairs, handed the camera to Jim and said, "she's tired and fussy and probably won't smile but I really want a picture of the two of us so just take a picture, even if she's whining and throwing a fit!"

And guess what???

Miraculously, she looked toward the camera and smiled! And also coincidentally, we were color coordinated!
This just made my day!!!

Mother's Day!

It has been a wonderful Mother's Day! Jim started off the morning by getting Hannah out of bed and bringing her in to me holding a Mother's day card! It was really sweet. He then ran out and brought home iced coffee...yum! Next we took Hannah to the park. Taking Hannah to the park is something that I really cherish, so today I wanted for us to go early before it got too hot! Even when it is 85 degrees outside, with the sun beaming down it can be really unpleasant. Hannah loves going down the "side". The small slide was in the sun and very hot. Hannah was a little unsure about the bigger slide, but Jim held her hand and she LOVED going down!We caught her giggling, but looking away!

Made it to the bottom! Yippee!
This is one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken! Just that look of absolute joy melts my heart! What a GREAT Mother's Day! When we came home, Jim made some brunch and surprised me with some Mother's Day gifts. Now we are waiting for my parents to come over for dinner. I am so blessed with such an amazing family! Happy Mother's Day to ALL the moms out there!
