San Diego, Day 1

I am a little behind on my postings! Last week we went to San Diego for a few days. We had a very nice time getting out of the heat. Traveling with an almost-two-year-old is interesting!

We hadn't even made it across state lines when Hannah threw up in the car--not once but twice!!! Two times pulling over, two changes of clothes, lots of baby wipes and lots of mess!!! The funny part is, Hannah has only thrown up three times in her whole life, and two of those times were on the way to our vacation. Oh well...maybe we can embarrass her someday with that information!

Somehow we still made it to San Diego in record time. We were able to check in early and walk over to Seaport Village--our hotel was just across the street!

Here are Jim and Hannah noticing a ship.
Here they are looking at a kite. I think Jim's head is blocking it though.
Walking around in the village. Wearing a jacket in July--you don't do that in Gilbert!!!
Me and Hannah--she's smiling but facing the wrong way!
Nice family pic!
We rode on the carousel. Jim took this picture of the 3 of us--not bad!
Like mother, like daughter!
Sorry this one is a little blurry. We sat her on the horse at the end. She was a little unsure about that!
We had a nice afternoon in Seaport Village. Hannah hadn't really napped much in the car, so by the time we left, she was DONE! We went back to the hotel room, put her to bed (and I must brag that she went right to sleep, no problem!), and then Jim went back out to pick up dinner and we just had take-out in our room with a view. It was so relaxing! Come back soon to hear about day 2!!!
